Officials ordered attachment of petrol and diesel outlets managed by the Amudhasurabhi wing of the Puducherry Cooperative Wholesale Stores on ECR, Kottupalayam, Lawspet.
The co-op stores were faulted for their refusal to abide by the directive to ensure regular supply of petroleum products to government vehicles, reports Hindu. The retail outlet would now be operated by the managing director, cooperative building centre.
Last week, officials had strongly urged the striking employees to start working in order to ensure uninterrupted supply of petrol and diesel for government vehicles.
