Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperation, chaired a high-level review meeting at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan in New Delhi last week to assess and strengthen the cooperative training ecosystem in the country.
The meeting brought together senior officials from the National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT), Directors of Regional Institutes of Cooperative Management (RICMs), Institutes of Cooperative Management (ICMs), and VAMNICOM.
Key discussions centered on upgrading training infrastructure, expanding outreach, and modernizing course content to better align with the government’s vision of “Sahkar se Samriddhi”—prosperity through cooperation.
Dr. Bhutani emphasized the need to make cooperative training more practical, inclusive, and in tune with emerging economic and technological trends. Participants also shared ideas on improving skill development and digital readiness within the cooperative sector.
The meeting marked a step forward in building a robust, future-ready cooperative training framework across India.
