The Supreme Court has framed contempt of court charges against the Chairman, Managing Director and two General Managers of the Punjab State Cooperative Agricultural Development Bank for allegedly willfully disobeying its January 11, 2022 order on pensionary benefits to retired employees, media reports say.
Acting on a plea by the Pensioners Association, the bench held that officers holding these posts since January 11, 2022 must face proceedings.
The matter will be heard on February 24, when a complete list of concerned officers must be submitted and present incumbents appear in court, as directed by the apex court.
