The biggest urban cooperative bank of India Saraswat has for once fallen under the scalp of the court. A district has ordered the Saraswat cooperative bank to refund Rs.2 lakh with interest to one Mr. Kriplani.
Kriplani who is from Pune had complained that the Saraswat Cooperative Bank was not allowing his wife to handle the account without his consent.
The bank would also have to pay Mr. Kriplani Rs. 15 thousand towards the costs of the complaint.
Mr. Kriplani had argued before the district forum that the bank could not allow his wife to handle account without his consent.
