India’s largest urban cooperative bank, Saraswat Co-operative Bank, has stepped up its North India push with an aggressive branch expansion plan, opening eight new branches across five States and one Union Territory by March 31, 2026.

With this rapid rollout, the bank will mark its presence in eleven States and one Union Territory by the end of the financial year.

The expansion kicked off with three new branches in Delhi’s Rajouri Garden, Rohini and Dwarka on March 23, followed by Gurugram (Haryana). Chandigarh saw a new branch on March 24, while Ludhiana (Punjab) added to the list on March 25. The momentum continues with upcoming openings in Raipur (Chhattisgarh) on March 27 and Jaipur (Rajasthan) on March 30.

This surge has significantly strengthened the bank’s NCR footprint, taking its branch count in the region from eight to twelve.

Not stopping here, Saraswat Bank is gearing up for its next growth phase, with 13 more branches lined up in April and May across key cities including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Bhopal, Rajkot, Udaipur and Bengaluru. The expansion signals a clear strategy, moving beyond western India and capturing high-growth urban markets across the country.
