Ashwinbhai Sawalia and Mukesh Sanghani have been re-elected again as the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Gujarat based Amreli District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union (AMR Dairy) for another term in the election held on Friday.
The Vice-Chairman is the younger brother of veteran cooperator Dileepbhai Sanghani who has also been re-elected as the Director of AMR Dairy.
Besides Sanghani, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Parshottam Rupala again is re-elected as the Director.
A Few days back the election of BoDs was held in which all the directors were elected unopposed. The new team consists of only three new directors and the rest are re-elected again. The board consists of 17 directors.
Readers would recall that the term of BoDs was over in March 2020 but due to Covid-19 election was not held.
AMR dairy is the one of the milk unions of GCMMF which sells milk and milk products under the brand name of Amul.
