Soon after his victory, the newly elected President of the apex body NCUI, Dileepbhai Sanghani met Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar at his Delhi’s residence.
Tomar congratulated Sanghani for his new innings at the apex body. Sanghani had gone there with his son Manish and other family members. It bears recall that Tomar played a crucial role in Sanghani’s election.
Besides, Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated Sanghani on his victory on the phone. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had congratulated him.
“Never ever the PM or the HM has congratulated an NCUI President on his election and all these point to a brighter future for the co-op movement under Sanghani’s leadership. NCUI is already Centre-stage”, quipped an old-timer at NCUI.
Sanghani shared the news of his meeting with Tomar through social media.
