NCUI and IFFCO Chairman Dileepbhai Sanghani has left India to participate in a soft launch event for the 2025 UN International Year of Cooperatives. He is accompanied by a couple of Indian cooperators as well.
This event will take place during the UN High-Level Political Forum at the UN Headquarters in New York on July 9, 2024. It will coincide with the 2024 UN International Day of Cooperatives (IDC), celebrated under the theme “Cooperatives Build a Better Future for All.”
This will be a hybrid event aiming to set the stage for the 2025 IYC, which will be officially launched during the ICA Global Cooperative Conference, scheduled for November 25-29, 2024, in New Delhi, India.
Organisers plan to unveil the IYC2025 theme, roadmap of the event, and communications materials that the UN teams are currently developing. This also will mark the International Day of Cooperatives, celebrated annually on the first Saturday of July globally.
