IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani visited CORDET Kalol on the occasion of the valedictory ceremony of its six-month intensive stitching training programme, where sewing machines were distributed to trained women participants.
Principal R. C. Damor welcomed the Chairman and briefed him about the training initiative. Sanghani also visited an exhibition showcasing products crafted by the trained women. He praised their skill, dedication and determination, calling it a “proud reflection of women’s growing self-reliance,” and described the CORDET initiative as a commendable step in women’s empowerment.
As part of the programme, sewing machines were handed over to all trained beneficiaries to support their journey towards sustainable livelihood and self-employment. Sanghani conveyed his best wishes to the women beginning a new chapter of economic independence through CORDET Kalol.
Sanghani highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India formed a dedicated Ministry of Cooperation for the first time in 75 years of independence, with Amit Shah steering its work to strengthen the cooperative sector. He urged all trainees to purchase essential goods through cooperative societies, noting that the dividend returned to members would help accelerate the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
He added that IFFCO CORDET plans to introduce more such training programmes in the future and assured that IFFCO will extend support wherever needed.
Sanghani also encouraged the women to make use of the facilities offered through NCUI, which helps cooperative societies showcase their products at Delhi Haat, including arrangements for accommodation, food and travel for two members.
The event concluded with an expression of confidence that the trained women, equipped with new skills and tools, will contribute meaningfully to the cooperative-driven model of self-reliant India.
