The Gujarat government recently announced crop compensation for farmers in Amreli district affected by excessive rainfall. However, four villages in Amreli taluka were initially excluded from the relief package, prompting concerns of unfair treatment.
A delegation led by NCUI and IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani met Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to request inclusion of these remaining villages in the compensation scheme.
Following the discussion, the Chief Minister agreed to extend the benefits to the four villages as well, ensuring that all affected farmers receive due support.
The decision has been welcomed as a step towards fairness and comprehensive relief for the farming community in the district, said Sanghani in a social media post.
