A two-day National Level review meeting is being held in Shillong, Meghalaya from April 10 to 11, 2025, bringing together representatives from States and Union Territories to discuss and assess various initiatives launched by the Ministry of Cooperation aimed at strengthening the cooperative sector.
Organized under the theme ‘Sahkar se Samriddhi’ (Prosperity through Cooperation), the event is part of the broader vision to empower the cooperative movement across the country and is aligned with the observance of 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives.
The Ministry of Cooperation, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, has introduced multiple reform-driven initiatives to enhance the operational capacity, inclusiveness, and efficiency of cooperatives.
The meeting will serve as a platform for discussion, collaboration, and feedback between the central government and representatives from states and UTs. It will focus on reviewing progress, identifying challenges, and charting out the way forward for cooperative development at the grassroots level.
