The Union Ministry of Cooperation has launched a resubmission facility and updated FAQs on the CRCS-Sahara refund portal to streamline payments to depositors of four Sahara group cooperative societies.

The move allows applicants whose claims were flagged earlier to correct errors and refile through a revamped digital platform. The facility currently covers claims up to Rs 10 lakh, with revised submissions to be processed within 45 working days.

Refunds, capped at Rs 50,000 per depositor for now, will be credited directly to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts after verification. Only original depositors with matured, unpaid deposits as of March 31, 2023, are eligible.

The ministry has advised careful submission, as no edits are permitted post-filing and all claims must be consolidated into a single application.
