The Sahakar Bharati foundation day was celebrated in different states with gusto with workers associated with Sahakar Bharati organizing cooperative workshops and seminars across India.
In Jabalpur, the day was celebrated with discussions organized about Sweet Revolution in India while in Sangli district of Maharashtra a program ‘Mahacharacha’ was organized where speakers discussed how cooperatives can ameliorate the lot of the poor.
It bears recall that Sahakar Bharati had celebrated the Laxman Rao Inamdar Centenary year in [2017] Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi talked about Sweet Revolution, among other things in this conference.
Sahakar Bharati Patron Satish Marathe greeted his followers through Social Media and wrote “Today on the foundation day of Sahakar Bharati I extend greetings to all cooperators and cooperatives and appeal to all to come forward to work together to re-energize co-ops in the Country”.
In Raipur, Chhattisgarh state cooperative bank Chairman Ashok Bajaj inaugurated the Sahakar Bharati Raipur office while the Uttarakhand team of Sahakar Bharati organized a seminar for workers.
Sahakar Bharati was established by Late Laxmanrao Inamdar in 1978 in Pune with an objective to enlighten the masses about the benefits of the Cooperative Movement.
