Sah Bharati’s Kushwaha elected Chairman of UPICA

The RSS affiliated Cooperative Organization Sahakar Bharati Varanasi’s  (Uttar Pradesh) Unit Treasurer Amresh Kushwaha has been elected unopposed as the Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Industrial Cooperative Association (UPICA), in an election held on Wednesday.

Whereas, Hafizuddin Ansari, has been elected as the Vice-Chairman of the association headquartered at Kanpur, that had not gone to the polls for 25 years.

Soon after the elections, talking to reporters Kushwaha said, “We will work together to boost up the economic development of weavers. The banarsi saree and weaving art of Banaras would be promoted”.

Meanwhile, Sahakar Bharati’s Uttar Pradesh unit President Narendra Upadhyay, General Secretary Praveen Singh Jadaun and others greeted the newly elected board of UPICA.

It is worth mentioning that there are 27 sale counters of UPICA across the state.

Readers would recall that the UPICA board consists of 9 directors out of 6 were elected unopposed and the elections were held for the remaining 3 seats.
