Sunday Guardian reports the RSS is working overtime in Kerala to ramify its chain of cooperatives so as to weaken the communist movement in the state.
It is doing so realizing how communists have used cooperatives to strengthen themselves in Kerala. The idea is– the RSS will reach to the grassroots level through a cooperative network and challenge the current political template in the state.
Sources keeping tabs on developments in the cooperative sector say the creation of a separate ministry of cooperation is aimed to relax opposition parties’ grip on the cooperative movement.
