On the occasion of the Foundation Day of Sahakar Bharati, a Sahakar Gaurav Ceremony was organized in Mehsana under the chairmanship of Gujarat Legislative Assembly Speaker Shankarbhai Chaudhary. The event was held to honour cooperative institutions that have completed more than 100 years of service.
During the programme, the biographical book of Atmaram Kaka was also formally released. The ceremony was blessed by Rajkot BAPS Mahant Pujya Apurva Muni Swami, who offered his spiritual guidance on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Sanjay Pachpor of Sahakar Bharati spoke on the theme “Sahakar se Samriddhi” (Prosperity through Cooperation), while the inaugural address was delivered by R. P. Patel, Chairman of Vishwa Umiya Dham. The event also witnessed the presence of Amul Chairman Ashokbhai Chaudhary and several prominent leaders from the cooperative sector.
More than 50 cooperative institutions and over 2,000 dignitaries and citizens attended the ceremony. Sahakar Bharati had decided to felicitate all cooperative institutions in Gujarat that have completed 100 years, for which a list of around 250 institutions was received. Accordingly, district-level programmes and on-site felicitations were planned.
As part of this initiative, Sahakar Bharati representatives visited nine cooperative institutions across three districts over two days. Additionally, e-rickshaws were distributed to 100 needy and economically weaker individuals on concessional loan terms, reinforcing Sahakar Bharati’s commitment to inclusive development.
