Rumours settle down; Singh to contest from Motihari

Despite an uncertainty in the beginning, it become clear on Saturday that union agriculture minister Radha Mohan Singh is going to contest once again.

In the short-listed names for the 17 seats in Bihar Singh is shown as contesting from the Motihari seat.

Singh’s political future has been a matter of media gossip since the beginning. Earlier, during the cabinet reshuffle many said he is going to be dropped.

There were also some who said he may not be given ticket to recontest in 2019 Lok Sabha elections. All naysayers have been proved wrong, said a Singh supporter.

Out of the total 17 constituencies in Bihar after the seat sharing with JDU and other allies, BJP has finalized named for 14 seats so far.

Ram Kripal Yadav will contest from the Pataliputra seat, Giriraj Singh from Begusarai seat, Rajiv Pratap Ruddy from the Chapra, RK Sinha from the Patna Sahib, Sanjay Jaiswal from Bettiah, Radha Mohan Singh from Motihari seat, RK Singh from Arrah constituency, Ashwini Kumar Chaubey from the Buxar seat, Rama Devi from the Shivhar constituency, Ajay Nishad from the Muzaffarpur seat, Nityanand Rai from the Ujiarpur constituency, Putul Devi from the Banka seat, Janardan Prasad Sigriwal from the Maharajganj seat and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) MLA Lalan Paswan from the Sasaram constituency.

The candidates for the three seats of Darbhanga, Madhubani, and Araria are yet to be confirmed, according to a media reports.
