Bibiwala Cooperative Society in Bhatinda in Punjab is rocked by a fraud of Rs. 14 lakh, reports Tribune News Service.
There were spate of frauds reported earlier from Gobindpura, Poohli and Dhipali cooperative society cranches and in three cooperative banks at grain market, Bathinda, Mehma Sirja and Sangat.
A case under Section 406 of the IPC has been registered against the secretary of the Cooperative Society.
The complaint lodged with the local police says the accused has, pocketed deposits of society members. Police say investigation is on and the accused is likely to be arrested soon.
