The Regional Institute of Cooperative Management (RICM), Chandigarh, a premier institution under the National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT), in collaboration with Unati, hosted the India–Sri Lanka Cooperative Dialogue on Trade and Capacity Building, marking the visit of Shanta Jayaratne, Advisor to the Hon’ble Minister of Cooperatives, Government of Sri Lanka, on Tuesday.
The dialogue served as a platform to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the cooperative sector, with a focus on trade linkages, institutional collaboration, and capacity-building initiatives.
Participants deliberated on enhancing market access for cooperative products, skill development, training of cooperative professionals, and knowledge exchange between institutions of the two countries.
The dialogue concluded with a consensus on deepening cooperation through sustained engagement and collaborative programmes.
