Telangana Today reports minister for cooperatives S Niranjan Reddy said the state government will reorganize cooperative societies in order to involve farmers as members in them.
Addressing recently District Cooperative Officers from five districts of the Palamuru region in Wanaparthy, the minister instructed officials to blueprint a concrete plan of reorganization of cooperative societies.
Adding the minister said 56 lakh farmers were receiving input financial assistance through ‘Rythu Bandhu’ in the state but only 13 lakh farmers were connected to PACS. He emphasized the need for increasing farmers’ membership.
