Remembering Nakai: When Awasthi broke down
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

During the prayer meeting organized for Late Balvinder Singh Nakai on Tuesday at IFFCO headquarters in Saket Delhi, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi broke down. He paid tributes to Nakai Saheb trying to hold back his tears.

Speaking on the occasion Awasthi said, “I have had a relationship of over 41 years. He was humble, polite, kind, soft spoken and a great human; how can one forget him so easily”.

IFFCO Board had been very supportive of MD Awasthi for his innovative ideas and Nakai was his frontline supporter, said IFFCO sources. “It is a team cum family and each one supports the other in a very committed manner”, said sources underlining the root cause of IFFCO’s success.

“His contribution in the development of IFFCO will never be forgotten. He has done a lot for the farmers and we pray to god to give eternal peace to departed soul”, Awasthi said with a tinge of sadness.

IFFCO and in fact the entire cooperative sector has lost a cooperative leader who immensely contributed to the growth of the sector, stated Awasthi.
