The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has amended the Second Schedule to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, to reflect a change in the official name of the apex cooperative bank of Uttar Pradesh.
As per the notification, the entry “Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank Limited, Lucknow” has been replaced with “Uttar Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Limited, Lucknow.”
The amendment has been made under the provisions of clause (c) of sub-section (6) of Section 42 of the RBI Act, 1934, for which the Gazette notification was released on Monday.
With this update, the Uttar Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Limited, Lucknow, continues to remain a scheduled bank under the Second Schedule of the Act.
