Addressing a felicitation function organized by the Sangli branch of Shree Ravalnath Co-op Housing Finance Society, Additional Collector Swati Deshmukh Patil said contribution of women is very important in the process of social development.
Women should become financially independent and come forward to play their legitimate role in society, she emphasized. The branch was felicitating women heads of self-help groups, informs a press release issued by the society.
Besides Patil, famous social activist Nanda Zadbuke was also present. on this occasion. In her remarks, Mrs. Zadbuke was all praise for the Shree Ravalnath’ Society helping the disadvantaged sections of society.
Speaking on the occasion, the Society’s Founder Chairman M L Chougule informed that a free health camp will be conducted for women in Sangli in March. Fifty-two women were felicitated on the occasion.
Sangli branch advisor Prof. Dr.Prabha Patil welcomed the guests and Mrs. Meena Ringane, Director, introduced the guests, Prof. Dr. Megha Alase did the anchoring and Mrs. Vandana Kholkumbe moved a vote of thanks.
