Rajkot DCCB registers case against its cashier

A police case has been registered against Vikas Lakhani the cashier of Rajkot District Cooperative Bank for allegedly swindling Rs 71 lakh from accounts of the bank’s customers, reports TOI.

The complaint was lodged with the police by the bank authorities. The charges against Lakhani include cheating and forgery.

The fraud came to light following a call from a customer complaining that Rs 3 lakh was withdrawn from his account without his knowledge.

It bears recall that Jayesh Radadiya, the state minister is the Chairman of the Bank and the DCCB has been credited with many achievements in the past.
