The Rajasthan marketing cooperative-RAJFED will start wheat procurement from farmers at 2400 per quintal from 10th March.
The announcement was made by the Rajfed Managing Director Shakti Singh Rathore on Tuesday.
“The support price of wheat Rs 2275 per quintal will be paid by the State Government in addition to this Rs 125 per quintal provided by the state government as bonus”, he said.
“The Food Department has allotted 210 centers to Rajfed for wheat procurement. Most of the purchasing centers are in the Kota division. Efforts are also being made to provide necessary basic facilities like water, electricity, grading machines etc. to the farmers for weighing wheat at the purchasing centers”, Rathore informed.
