The 103rd International Day of Cooperatives was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Rajasthan State Apex Cooperative Bank on the first Saturday of July.
The event was graced by R.S. Jodha, Retired General Manager, NABARD and Advisor, Sahkar Se Samriddhi, as the Chief Guest, and presided over by Sanjay Pathak, Managing Director of the bank.
The celebrations began with the hoisting of the cooperative flag, followed by a tree plantation drive under the Government of India’s “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign. The bank campus was beautifully decorated, with rangoli adding festive charm.
In his address, Pathak spoke on the year’s theme “Cooperatives: Driving Inclusive and Sustainable Solutions for a Better World” and reflected on the historic roots of the cooperative movement in India.
Jodha highlighted the 61 initiatives under IYC–2025, emphasizing the importance of youth participation, time-bound elections, and the transformation of PACS into multi-purpose entities.
Rakesh Sharma, Deputy Registrar and Nodal Officer, IYC, presented the state’s progress in cooperative initiatives. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by PRO Shivcharan Singh Gurjar.
