According to media reports, a high-level state committee has been constituted in Rajasthan to examine the HR policy for PACS managers prepared by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development.

The committee, comprising senior officials from the registrar’s office and cooperative banking institutions, has been tasked with conducting a detailed study of the proposed policy and recommending its implementation framework in the state.

As per reports, the panel will submit its suggestions within one month, focusing on improving administrative efficiency and standardising the functioning of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS).

The move is seen as a step towards professionalising the cooperative sector, particularly at the grassroots level, where PACS play a crucial role in rural credit delivery.

Experts believe that the adoption of a structured HR framework could enhance accountability, streamline operations, and strengthen governance in cooperative institutions across the state.
