In a strong message to the cooperative sector, Rajasthan Cooperation Minister Gautam Kumar Dak announced a zero-tolerance policy against embezzlement and financial irregularities in cooperative societies, warning that strict action, including FIRs and property attachment, will be initiated against offenders.
Addressing a state-level workshop under the “Sahkarita Mein Sahkar” campaign at the Apex Bank Auditorium in Jaipur, the minister directed that audits of all cooperative societies must be completed before June 2026, while annual general meetings should be held before September.
He also ordered compulsory videography and photography of AGMs, along with public disclosure of societies’ assets and deposits.
Dak instructed officials to file FIRs against societies failing to provide records for audit and ensure full recovery in fraud cases, including attachment of properties belonging to accused persons and their families.
The minister also pushed for expansion of cooperative banking services, transparent loan disbursal under the Rajasthan Gopal Credit Card Scheme, and strict action against staff allegedly taking commissions from beneficiaries.
