Taking suo motu cognizance of a spate of criminal cases involving land disputes in cooperative bodies, Rajasthan high court asked auditor of cooperative department to appear in the court, reports DNA.
A source is quoted claiming while there were 2476 such cases filed in Jaipur police between 2005 and 2017, the police filed charges only in 332 cases and closed a whopping 1716 cases.
The police have been accused of botching investigation by showing criminal cases as civil in nature.
