Four States, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Mizoram, have completed full integration of their cooperative societies’ data with the National Cooperative Database (NCD), Union Minister for Cooperation Amit Shah informed the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
In a written reply, Shah said the Ministry of Cooperation has developed a standard Application Programming Interface (API) to enable States to seamlessly fetch complete cooperative data from the NCD portal to their respective Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) portals. The standard API specifications and database schema were shared with States on May 27, 2025.
To ensure real-time data flow, the Ministry later introduced Push APIs, allowing live, event-driven updates, including new registrations, from State RCS portals to the NCD platform. These endpoint APIs were shared on September 22, 2025.
Further streamlining the process, an advisory along with a detailed integration checklist was issued to all States and Union Territories on November 14, 2025. Shah said States must complete RCS computerisation and develop reverse or pull APIs for successful integration.
The initiative aims to create a real-time, transparent and unified national cooperative data ecosystem, strengthening digital governance in the cooperative sector.
