Union Agriculture Minister, Radha Mohan Singh said Rajasthan with its fast-paced policy decisions over the last 2 years is likely to succeed in doubling the farmers income by 2022.

The Agriculture Minister said Niti Aayog has given Rajasthan the third place in terms of indices of agriculture marketing and farmers oriented development for the year 2016. The agriculture processing and Agriculture Marketing Policy 2015 of the state ensures value addition to agricultural products.

The state reduces the post harvesting losses as well as encourages the use of new technologies in the field of agricultural marketing, Singh added.

The Government of India has sanctioned for the betterment of indigenous breeding two bulls mother farms in the state. Under the insurance coverage of animals, the strength of insured animals has increased from two milch animals to five and five big animals to 50 small ones, he underlined.

Minister was speaking at the “Global Rajasthan Agritech Conference” held recently in Jaipur.
