The Railway Cooperative Bank will celebrate its 105th anniversary on September 6 at the Platinum Jubilee Auditorium of Mysore Medical College and Research Institute, media reports say.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar are invited to inaugurate the event. Founded in 1920 by L.V. Gopalan with 112 members and Rs 2,580 share capital, the bank has grown to over 10,000 members and deposits exceeding Rs 650 crore.
It currently operates five branches in Mysuru, Bengaluru, Yelahanka and Arasikere, with plans to expand to Hubli, Mangaluru, Mandya and Davangere. The celebrations will also honour senior members and award meritorious students under the Prathiba Puraskar scheme.
