Purabi Dairy, run by the West Assam Milk Producers’ Cooperative Union Ltd (WAMUL), has earned two prestigious certifications: ISO 22000:2018 for its modern milk processing plant at Panjabari and ISO 9001:2015 for its cattle-feed unit at Changsari.

In FY 2024-25, WAMUL saw 25% growth, with turnover exceeding Rs 320 crore. Sales of milk and dairy products like curd, ghee, paneer, and cream soared, with new launches such as Purabi Ice Cream gaining popularity.

The cooperative expanded its presence across Assam and now targets Rs 450 crore turnover in FY 2025-26. A Rs 100-crore expansion will double the Panjabari plant’s capacity, reinforcing Purabi’s role as Northeast India’s leading dairy brand, focused on quality, innovation, and farmer empowerment.
