In a major reshuffle, the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has appointed senior leader Pawan Kumar Tinu as the new Chairman of the Punjab State Cooperative Agricultural Development Bank.
He replaces Suresh Kumar Goyal, who served as Chairman for over two and a half years and also held the position of Vice-Chairman at NAFCARD, the apex body of State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Banks (SCARDBs). It is widely expected that Tinu will now succeed Goyal in NAFCARD as well, taking over key responsibilities at the national level.
This appointment is part of a broader move by the Mann-led government, which recently announced a fresh list of 31 appointments, including Chairmen, Vice-Chairmen, Directors, and members to various boards and corporations across the state.
Pawan Kumar Tinu is an Indian politician and belongs to the ruling Aam Aadmi Party. He was a member of Punjab Legislative Assembly and represented Adampur from Shiromani Akali Dal. In April 2024, he left the party to join Aam Aadmi Party.
