Tribune reports Punjab Cooperation Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa recently said the state government had given Rs 65 crore to the cooperative sugar mills for paying sugarcane dues to the farmers for 2017-18.
The minister said the cooperative sugar mills were to pay a total of Rs 151.33-crore dues to farmers.
The balance Rs 86.33 crore would be released soon, the minister is quoted saying.
