Tribune reports Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu said cooperative bodies like Markfed, Cooperative Banks and Cooperative Milk Producers have done a great deal for the economic development of Punjab.
Sidhu who honoured milk producers’ cooperative societies that secured top three positions in Mohali with bonus cheques said Verka milk dairy has played a prominent role in offering a market to milk producers of Punjab.
He called upon the dairy to expand its business beyond Punjab.
