BJP MP from Gurudaspur in Punjab Sunny Deol has urged Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman to end restrictions on Hindu Cooperative Bank in the interest of shareholders and account holders, reports HT.
The MP has sent a letter to the finance minister in this connection. The cooperative bank has 5,000 shareholders and 90,000 depositors.
Local co-operators say the MP’s intervention is expected to yield relief for shareholders.
