Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi recently said his govt. would carry out all its financial transactions through cooperative banks with a view to strengthening the cooperative sector in the state, reports PTI.
The chief minister was quoted saying “In the coming 15 days, the entire money of the government departments will be transferred to the Cooperative banks”.
The chief minister called upon the workers of the cooperative banks to work harder so that they could level with the commercial banks.
