Pune Peoples Co-op Bank honours 75 Women

Pune Peoples Co-operative Bank Ltd., Pune organised a special programme titled ‘Nari Shakti Samman’ to mark its Amrit Mahotsav year and International Women’s Day on March 8. The event was held at the Late Dadasaheb Ketkar Hall of Muktangan High School and included a laughter yoga performance by Makarand Tillu.

On the occasion, 75 accomplished women associated with the bank and representing diverse fields such as finance, social service, sports, healthcare, education, politics and business were felicitated with mementos and certificates of honour.

The programme was graced by Mrs. Pushpatai Nade, Co-Secretary and Head of the Women and Child Department of Swaroop Vardhini, and Dr. Smita Prakash Joshi, a noted lawyer and counsellor from Pune, as chief guests. Both appreciated the initiative and emphasised the importance of women’s empowerment and strong family values.

Director Mrs. Shweta Dhamal presented the introductory remarks and highlighted the bank’s journey, customer-centric services and cooperative principles.

Bank Chairman Shridhar Gaikwad and Management Committee Chairman Adv. Subhash Mohite also addressed the gathering and acknowledged the significant contribution of women to society and the bank’s progress.
