Pune People’s Co-operative Bank was last week honoured with five prestigious awards at the Urban Co-operative Bank Summit 2025, jointly organized by ACME Infomedia and NAFCUB, New Delhi in Pune.
The bank was adjudged the Best Multi-State Urban Co-operative Bank. In individual recognitions, CA Janardan Randive, Chairman, was awarded Best Chairperson of the Year, while CEO Sanjay Bhondwe received the Best CEO of the Year honour. Kailas Pawar, Deputy General Manager & IT Head, was named Best IT Head of the Year, and Ghanashyam Sanas, AGM & Investment Head, was recognized for Best Treasury Management Implementation.
These awards were received by the bank’s top leadership and board members including Vice Chairman Ramesh Sonawane, Adv. Subhash Mohite, and several directors.
The bank crossed a total business of Rs 2,700 crore in FY 2024–25, with 0% net NPA, a CD ratio of 65.70%, and a gross profit of Rs 23.90 crore. A 12.5% dividend was distributed to members last year.
With 73 years of legacy, 23 branches, and a focus on security, transparency, and customer service, the bank is now planning statewide expansion, internet banking, and scheduled bank status.
