Pune Peoples Co-operative Bank founded on Vasant Panchami in 1952, will mark the beginning of its Amrit Mahotsav (75th year) with a special programme on Friday, January 23, at 4.00 pm at Ganesh Kala Krida Rangmanch, Pune.
During the event, the Bank will unveil its Amrit Mahotsav logo and present the prestigious Pune Peoples Award.
Announcing this at a press conference, Chairman Shridhar Gaikwad said the Pune Peoples Award will be conferred on Dr. Rajendra Dhamane and Dr. Sucheta Dhamane of Mauli Seva Pratishthan, Ahilyanagar, for their outstanding work for women suffering from mental illness. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 1.01 lakh, a citation, and a memento.
State Co-operation Commissioner Deepak Taware and Savitribai Phule Pune University Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Parag Kalkar will grace the occasion. The programme will also feature a special cultural performance, “Sankarshan via Spruha.”
