Pune District Cooperative Bank, in collaboration with Canara Bank and Bank of Maharashtra, organized a customer outreach program under the Jan Suraksha Campaign at Manjarewadi, Khed Taluka, last week. The event saw enthusiastic participation from villagers along with several dignitaries.
The program began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by the chief guests, including Sandeep Kumar (CGM, RBI), Jyoti Saxena (DGM, RBI), Yogesh Patil (LDM, Bank of Maharashtra), Bichendra Mallik (DGM), Anant Jalona (GM, Canara Bank), Vinod Kumar (AGM, Canara Bank), and Nilesh Thorat (Manager, PDCC Bank).
Yogesh Patil introduced the program and explained the objectives of the Jan Suraksha Campaign. Sandeep Kumar (CGM, RBI) highlighted the vision behind implementing this campaign on behalf of the Central Government and the Reserve Bank of India.
Jyoti Saxena (DGM) provided an overview of various government-backed schemes such as PMJDY, PMJJY, PMSBY, and APY, aimed at enhancing financial inclusion and social security.
Nilesh Thorat (Manager, PDCC Bank) stressed the significance of insurance and pension plans in the post-COVID era, emphasizing the role of banks in making these services easily accessible to the public.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Vinod Kumar (AGM, Canara Bank).
