The 26th Annual Award Ceremony of the Maharashtra State Cooperative Banks’ Association Ltd., Mumbai, was held on Wednesday in Mumbai, where the Pune District Central Cooperative Bank (PDCCB) was honoured with the prestigious Late Vaikunthbhai Mehta Award for Best District Central Cooperative Bank.
The award was received in the presence of PDCCB Chairman Prof. Dr. Digambar Durgade, Vice Chairman Mr. Sunil Chandere, Expert Directors Suresh Ghule, Pravin Shinde, Sambhajinana Holkar, Ranjitbhaiya Tavare, CEO Mr. Aniruddha Desai, and other senior officials.
PDCCB was recently recognized by NABARD as an outstanding district bank and has earlier received multiple awards from the Maharashtra government and other institutions. It holds the top position in terms of business turnover among DCCBs across India and is ranked alongside the top five urban scheduled banks.
Under the leadership of Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, the bank has achieved historic performance in deposits, credit, recovery, profit, and overall financial health.
As of March 2025, the bank’s total business stood at Rs 26,825.86 crore, with deposits of Rs 14,766.84 crore and credit disbursement of Rs 12,059.03 crore through 294 branches. It posted a gross profit of Rs 439.61 crore and a net profit of Rs 75.75 crore.
