Odisha bytes reports the registrar of state cooperative societies has fired the President of the Kendrapara Credit Cooperative Society from his post and appointed the vice-president of the Society as the working president in his place.
The Registrar is quoted saying the move is intended to save the reputation of the society.
A female worker of the Society had leveled charges of sexual harassment against the dismissed president.
The accused has been remanded to police custody by the sub-divisional judicial magistrate.
