President lauds role being played by CSEs

Common Service Centres (CSEs) have finally caught the attention of President of India Ram Nath Kovind when he addressed the first Parliament session of 2021 on Friday and lauded the role being played by them in the rural areas.

“Honor & Proud Moment for CSC Family when Hon’ble President talks about @CSCegov”, was how those connected with the organization wrote on social media. Be its electricity bills or upgradation of Aadhar card or any other needs of people, CSE volunteers known as VLEs are active across states.

It bears recall that Common Service Centers, an initiative of the Ministry of Electronics & IT are the access points for delivery of various electronic services to villages in India, thereby contributing to a digitally and financially inclusive society.

Earlier, we published fascinating stories on NCCE, an arm of the apex cooperative body NCUI partnering with the govt of India in preparing an army of trained co-operators who would manage the affairs of multi-purpose District Co-op Societies known as VLEs.

Known as Village Level Entrepreneurs VLEs, these trained co-operators are being churned out every month from the headquarters of NCUI in Delhi.
