Punjab Government will use Progressive Punjab Investors Summit-2019 to forge links with the world’s leading Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) for strengthening the agriculture sector in the state, reports Pioneer.
The summit will enable the State Government to explore the possibilities of farm mechanization – a move that will reduce air pollution by putting a stop to stubble burning.
Sources say the World Economic Forum (WEF) will support the Punjab Government in ensuring a sustainable agri sector.
Several leading agri companies including IFFCO will take part in the summit. IFFCO and a Spanish company have, already entered a joint venture to set up their first food processing facility in Punjab.
