Stunned friends and family members kept offering tributes to the departed soul of Dr G N Saxena, Ex-IFFCO Director, who succumbed to Covid 19 in the early hours on Saturday. A prayer meeting was organized on Zoom to offer condolences to Doctor Saheb as he was popularly known.
Two daughters of Doctor Saheb were active organizing the prayer meeting on Zoom. IFFCO Director (HR and Legal) R P Singh, among others participated in the meeting as did Tarun Bhargava, IFFCO GM who looks after the subject (Co-op Relation) which was the forte of Dr Saxena.
Along with several IFFCO staff members, over 140 people attended the condolence meet of Dr Saxena. Participants expressed their shock and wished for the peace of the departed soul.
“His demise is a great jolt to the cooperative movement. It is an irreparable loss to the entire cooperative family”, said several participants.
Earlier, IFFCO MD, Dr. U S Awasthi expressed his shock “Saddened by the sad demise of Sh. G.N.Saxena, Ex-Director, IFFCO. He had a long association with me & IFFCO. His contribution to International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) was immense. My heartfelt condolences to his family at this hour of grief & sorrow. Rest in Peace. Om Shanti.”
