Starting May 1, 2025, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has mandated the use of the PRAVAAH portal for all regulatory applications, licenses, and approvals. This move enforces digital compliance across cooperative banks, NBFCs, and other supervised institutions.
PRAVAAH (Platform for Regulatory Application, Validation, and Authorization), launched in May 2024, centralizes submissions, enhances transparency, and reduces processing time.
Despite earlier access, some entities continued offline practices, prompting RBI to enforce mandatory use. The portal offers application tracking, downloadable forms, and user support tools.
This digitization drive aims to streamline communication, ensure uniformity, and improve regulatory oversight across India’s financial ecosystem, especially for cooperative and rural banks.
