PM Aushadhi Kendra: Rajasthan PACS take lead

In Rajasthan 217 Gram Seva Sahkari Samitis from 29 districts applied online for Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra but as on 31st December 2023 six PACS got the licenses. The figures were shared by the Rajasthan State Cooperative Bank Managing Director Bhomaram who has been appointed as a nodal officer for looking after the process.

“Six PACS of Hanumangarh, Jaipur, Jalore, Kota and Sikar district got the licenses. Whereas 159 societies received the initial approval and many more are likely to get licenses sooner than later”, said Bhomaram.

He further added, our bank under the leadership of Shreya Guha, Administrator, Rajasthan State Cooperative Bank encouraged Gram Seva Sahakari Samiti for engaging them in the initiatives launched by the Ministry of Cooperation in the interest of PACS.

Talking to Indian Cooperative, Khemchand Yadav, Chairman, Manoharpur (in Jaipur District) Gram Sewa Sahakari Samiti was full of praise for the initiatives launched by the MoC and lauded the efforts of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah in rejuvenating the cooperative sector.

“We are leaving no stone unturned in availing the benefits of central schemes meant for helping the local farmers. In Jaipur only two PACS received the drug license and ours is one of them”, said Yadav to this correspondent when he visited his PACS.
