Odisha TV.in reports all Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS), LAMPCS (Large Area Multi-Purpose Cooperative Societies) and Farmers Service Co Operative Societies (FSCS) in Odisha will now have to buy fertilizers only from Odisha State Cooperative Marketing Federation (Markfed).
The Markfed-Odisha has sent a letter to its area managers in this connection.
The Markfed has barred all PACS, LAMPCS and FSCS from buying urea from other agencies including IFFCO.
The Odisha Government has provided Rs 75 crore to Markfed for pre-positioning of urea.
